LOVE BETTER CAMP

The mission of the Love Better Camp (formerly Far Above Rubies) is to assist with boosting self-esteem and help men, women, young adults and tweens learn how to get out of their own way, break old habits and uncover issues that hinder spiritual growth and promote lifelong fulfillment in Jesus Christ. The goal whether single, married, divorced or dating is also to assist them with halting self-sabotaging behavior before it starts, utilizing Biblical principles to help them embrace and love themselves despite contradicting images they are exposed to in various forms of media and finally aid them in choosing and forming better relationships to ultimately live a life where they avoid the counterfeits, love better, and can marry well.

We believe the Bible is the written Word of God. We believe that the Bible leads us to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible and the Scriptures therein are fully and verbally inspired by God and free of error in all it teaches. We believe that each book is to be interpreted according to its context and purpose. All believers are exhorted to study the Scriptures and diligently apply them to their lives. The Scriptures are the authoritative rule and guide of all Christian life, practice, and doctrine.

We believe that there is one God: infinite, eternal, almighty, and perfect in holiness, truth, and love. God the Father is the Creator of heaven and earth. He is faithful to every promise, works all things together for good to those who love him, and in his unfathomable grace gave his Son Jesus Christ for mankind’s redemption. Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. He was perfect in nature, teaching and obedience. By his death in our place, he revealed the divine love and upheld divine justice, removing our guilt and reconciling us to God.
